Aereco develops innovative ventilation solutions for residential and office buildings with a key concept, the modulation of airflow rates according to the needs. With this principle associated to specific technologies, Aereco demand-controlled ventilation systems fully meet the Building current challenges with regard to energy efficiency and indoor air quality.
Aereco offers several lines of products that can be implemented in various systems, from natural and hybrid ventilation to mechanical exhaust and heat recovery ventilation.
The group, whose headquarters and factory are located in France in Marne la Vallée, is present in most countries in Europe as well as in Asia and in the USA, through subsidiaries and a wide network of distributors. Founded in 1983, Aereco Group includes today more than 350 employees.

Since May 2014, Aereco headquarters and plant are established in a new 18,000 sqm building in Marne-La-Vallée (France), with 10,000 sqm of factory, 5,000 sqm of stock and 3,000 sqm of offices. Present in most countries in Europe, China, Japan, United States and Russia, Aereco continues to grow in the world thanks to its numerous international representatives (subsidiaries and offices) and a large network of distributors.Innovate to stay ahead
Our research center develops, studies and tests innovative principles and processes that will be used in our products. With experts in Indoor Air Quality, acoustics and aeraulics, the research center has the know-how and the equipment to imagine and design the future systems. Our team of R&D engineers develops the concepts suggested by the Research Center, combining performance, design, quality and cost.
With state-of-the-art CAD workstations and rapid prototyping machines, new products can be put in the manufacturing process in time to meet with market needs.Millions of products manufactured every year
More than two million products are manufactured every year, to equip an average of 300,000 dwellings all over the world, mainly in Europe. All production machines are designed and manufactured in-house. Humidity sensitive sensors are produced and assembled in a special air-conditioned room, responding to the specific needs of this essential component of Aereco ventilation products.Total quality
Quality is a key-word at Aereco. In line with its ISO 9001 certification, quality controls are realised at every step of the manufacturing process to ensure that products meet customers requirements, at the best cost, with the shortest lead time. Internal controls are complemented with external ones, from independent laboratories (CSTB, CETIAT, IFT Rosenheim, etc.).
In 1983, Pierre Jardinier, a former engineer at CSTB (French Building Research Institute) was in charge of the air quality research laboratory SERVA. With two partners, he designed the first humidity sensitive extract unit that would ultimately lead to the development of Aereco as a company, from then a small basic workshop to the present 18,000 m² facility that currently producing several millions of components per year.
Convinced by the quality of their invention, these pioneers achieved great success. The humidity sensitive ventilation became more and more popular, first by the EDF energy-saving “Vivrelec” label in 1995, then by the French Thermal Regulation RT2000. The humidity sensitive ventilation has today become the referent system of the current regulation in France.
Between new products and new locations, the major milestones of the company are listed below:
Birth of Aereco company in Marne La Vallée (France).1984
Innovation with the first complete humidity sensitive system composed of the EAH air inlet and a MEV extract unit.
Gold medal at BATIMAT exhibition (France) for the Aereco humidity sensitive system.1989
Innovation at INTERCLIMA exhibition for a prototype of an extract unit with movement detection.
Launching of the “AGITO” extractt unit for office premises (movement detection).1997
Marc Jardinier becomes Chairman of Aereco group.1999
Gold medal at the International Fair of Poznan (Poland) for the Aereco humidity sensitive system.
Enlargement of the facilities, with new commercial offices at the head office (Marne La Vallée, France).
Creation of ACTHYS for the distribution of natural ventilation systems in France.2003
Launching of the MDA exhaust unit, an innovative ventilation module driven by detection of movement, CO2 or presence.
Launching of the VBP, a new concept of hybrid fan.2011
Presentation of an innovative ventilation concept combining modulation of airflows and heat recovery at Bau Munich.
New exhaust unit for mechanical exhaust ventilation with integrated CO2 and VOC sensor.
Integration of ZLT (Germany) into the Aereco Group.2012
New VCZ and VTZ exhaust fans.
Launching of the G2H, a demand controlled extract grille for natural and hybrid ventilation.2013
Release of the DXR, the first residential heat recovery ventilation system that automatically adjusts airflows according to the specific needs of each room. The DXR system directly derives from the XP-1 concept, presented in 2011.
Sustainable development was defined in 1987 by Mrs Gro Harlem Brundtland, Norwegian Prime Minister as “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet to their own needs”. The modes of production and consumption must respect both the human and natural environment and allow all inhabitants of Earth the satisfaction of their fundamental needs: food, a home, clothes, education, work, a life in a healthy environment… Aereco strives in its approach, its development and its commitment to meet as best possible the requirements of sustainable development.
Thanks to innovative products designed to save energy in homes, Aereco contributes to the respect of the environment and to the reduction of the greenhouse gases emissions. With buildings being responsible for nearly 18% of the total production of greenhouse gases, mainly due to heating, ventilation and its impact on heat losses has become a key factor for the environment.
Beyond the energy aspect, indoor air quality is a major health issue: indeed, we spend most of our time in an indoor environment. By adjusting the rate of air renewal in relation to the level of pollution in each room of the home, Aereco ventilation systems help to improve the quality of the air we breathe.
Aereco guarantees through appropriate specifications and practices that all components used in its products comply with the requirements of EU RoHS directive. Complying with the REACH*, Aereco also ensures the registration of chemicals substances used in its products. Recyclability of products is subject to special attention through the choice of plastics, as well as the number of parts used to perform a function. Aereco was among the first to design an eco extract unit for mechanical exhaust ventilation in 2010.
* REACH is the regulation on the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals substances. It became effective on June 1st 2007. REACH streamlines and improves the former legislative framework of the European Union (EU) on chemicals products.
